3	Time Frame for Lesson
4	WEEK ONE: (classroom) This lesson begins with a brief introduction to the Pop artist Andy Warhol.

6	WEEK TWO: (classroom) A simple lesson on operating a digital camera and optional tripod is necessary. Tips include: holding the camera steady framing/cropping the face in the viewfinder
7	"Before digital cameras are used" Before digital cameras are used, “cropping” is discussed with students.
8	"It is important for students..." It is important for students to move in for a close-up of the person’s face. The face should fill up the viewfinder.

11	"Frame the face with a..." Frame the face with a hand or tilt the head for interesting poses.
12	"With digital cameras," With digital cameras, students begin photographing each other.
13	WEEK THREE: (computer lab) Before class, the teacher downloads all class photos into a class folder.
14	"With guidance," With guidance, students use their computer skills to create a personal folder. Students choose one photo to save and use for the lesson. They put it in their folder.
15	FINALLY… THE REALLY EXCITING PART! The teacher models how to edit a photo using Microsoft Photo Editor. Using their own photos, students follow along exactly with the teacher to create a couple of edited photos.
16	"Most importantly," Most importantly, students are shown how to “SAVE AS” their edited photos and place into their personal folders. (Becky1, Becky2, Becky3, Becky4)
17	WEEK FOUR: (computer lab) Briefly review all procedures to edit a photo and save it.
18	"Now," Now, students are ready to independently explore the editing effects to create and save at least 4 Andy Warhol-like Pop Art portraits.

36	WEEK FIVE: (computer lab) Students create and save 1 or 2 more edited photos to add to the personal folder. They select their 4 favorite edited photos, deleting others.
37	"Before the next class meeting" Before the next class meeting, a photo lab develops edited photos.
38	WEEK SIX: (classroom) Students mount the 4 photos on assorted colored construction papers, and attach to a large black construction paper background.
