  • College/Career Week

    The future looks bright for Mitchell students! College and Career Week is May 21st - 25th. Students will be exposed to various colleges and fields of study. Plus learn about the many options to become the professional of their dreams. To maximize their interest we encourage participation in the following schedule: Monday, students can wear their favorite college shirt; Tuesday, let's plan on wearing the 2018 Mitchell Field Day Shirt and Wednesday, it's "When I Grow Up" day and students may dress-up for what they want to be when they grow up. The future is SO bright on Thursday, that they will need to wear Shades! Wear Sunglasses to school! And as the week comes to an end, "Mitchell Prepares Us for Our Future" lets wear our favorite Mitchell t-shirt! Exploring, experiencing and engagement stimulates all the possibilities.

  • Yearbooks Are Here!

    Our wait is over! The Mitchell Yearbooks are here! All pre-ordered yearbooks will be delivered to students on Wednesday, May 16th. We will begin selling yearbooks on Thursday morning in the Library. The cost is $15.00, cash or check. Don't miss the opportunity to treasure the memories of your child's Elementary Years. Get your yearbook before they sell out!

  • Keeping Kids Safe Online

    This is a parent seminar you won't want to miss: Who's lurking, and how are they gaining access to our kids? Learn the ways that offenders communicate with children via the internet, plus get suggestions of how to keep your children safe as they navigate technology. Plus you will learn how to develop an online safety contract with your children, and learn more about parental control software applications that are available to monitor kids' screen time and access to applications, websites, and texting. Make plans to join us on May 22nd from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Benold Middle School Cafeteria, 3407 Northwest Blvd, Georgetown. Note: Presentation is tailored to parents, caregivers and educators. The content is not suitable for children.

  • Literacy Night - Reading for the Future

    Honor Choir will kick off Mitchell's Literacy Night at 6:00 pm sharp. Join us Thursday May 24th, for Reading for the Future. Some of the fun and very impressive activities you must see are the 5th Grade Exhibits of College Night, plus the 4th grade Media Presentations, like commercials they've created. You won't want to miss the 3rd grade Mitchell Zoo creative crafts, along with the Pre-K and Kinder Names with Magnets activity. Plus the GT Showcase is something you can't miss! Experience Flashlight Reading with 1st grade for an awesome adventure with books. We very much look forward to seeing everyone!

  • Kinder Graduation

    May 25th - It's A Big Day for Mitchell's Kinder Classes. Graduation Ceremony begins at 8:30 am in the Mitchell Cafeteria. Family and friends are invited to join the graduates!

  • Important Smart Tag Reminder

    This year the GISD Transportation department is asking students keep their Smart-Tags over the summer break. Please be sure to keep in a safe and have them ready for the first day of school on August 16th.
