The
mission statement for the Mitchell Elementary library is to provide access to a
variety of materials that will stimulate intellectual learning, collaborate with
teachers and staff to provide quality learning opportunities and materials for
students, integrate the teaching of information-seeking strategies, and promote
life-long learning through a love of literature and a dedication to reading.
My name is Amy Heil.
This is my second year as an elementary school librarian and I am
excited to be at Mitchell! Before becoming a librarian, I taught
for 6 years as a third grade teacher. I received my bachelor's degree in
Elementary Education from Texas A&M University. I recently finished
pursuing my Master's Degree in
Library and Information Science from the University of North Texas.
