YOUTH ACTION COUNCIL
The
Youth Action Council (YAC) was formed in 1998 and is the teen advisory sub-group
of The Georgetown Project. YAC members are proactive and want to have a voice in
the Georgetown community. YAC has been instrumental in showing Georgetown the
immense power of youth and that if given the opportunity, teens can make a
positive and lasting impact on our community in very meaningful ways. The
activities of YAC are youth-led with support from caring adults and staff of The Georgetown Project. YAC will be
transitioning from a strictly community-based youth effort to a school-based
youth initiative focusing on both school and community projects in the 2006-07
school year. We hope you will consider joining YAC this year at the High School
and sharing your voice, a little of your time, and your unique talents with our
community. CONTACT: Amanda
