Dell Pickett

Pickett Elementary is named for Mrs. Dell Pickett, a former educator and administrator for 25 years with Georgetown I.S.D.   This school first opened its doors as a sixth grade center in August of 1993.   Pickett was one of the first schools in Georgetown to have students and teachers provide direct input on virtually every aspect of the school's design. Students even painted and glazed the tiles used in the interior of the school.

Pickett became an elementary school (grades 3-5) in 1995. The school population is currently around 450 students with about 70 staff members. Pickett Elementary is one of 9 elementary schools in Georgetown.
