Our Projects for the Second Semester are:
3rd. nine weeks Water Color Paintings with one and two point perspective
Third Grade One point perspective. Introduction to use of a water color wash, proportions in the foreground, middle ground and background, and adding detail to the foreground.
Fourth Grade Two point perspective. Using multiple washes to create depth, creating balance in a picture, and more definition in the foreground.
Fifth Grade Two point perspective. Same as fourth grade with the addition of adding shadows, texture, and how to create a time of year (ie, snow, clouds, sunrise or set)
Students will be able to use construction paper, colored pencils, pastels/chalk as a medium for enrichment of these concepts.
4th. nine weeks Drawing 3
dimensional work. Shadows, Shading and rendering.

Third Grade
Shadows on opposite side of light. simple
shapes drawn to look 3-D.
Projects are done in color pencil, foam shapes, tempra paint or
construction paper.
Fourth Grade Simple 3-d shading with cast shadows, Texture using different types of lines, and Introduction to one stroke painting techniques. Pencils, chalk/pastels, and acrylic paints.
5th. Grade Incorporate 4th. grade elements with Elaborate 3-d shading with gradation in shading (value), above, on, or below eye level. One stroke painting. Charcoal, Pencils, chalk/pastels, and acrylic paints.
