Welcome to my home page!
"Hi", my name is Linda Cruz. I am a 5th teacher at Pickett Elementary. I am married to my wonderful
husband who was my high-school sweetheart. I have two beautiful, intelligent,
and exceptional children. My daughter is a teacher but has chosen to
be a stay-at-home mom until her children are grown. My son is a former Ranger
with the U.S. Army and an executive chef with a major restaurant. I have six grandchildren
who have inherited their grandparent's and parent's exceptional traits. I love scrapbooking and
Stampin' Up cardmaking. I love to bake also.
Education & Teaching Background:
 | Education: I have a Bachelors of Science in Education. I am ESL certified.
I have an Early Childhood Specialization. I am also trained to teach
Gifted and Talented. |
| This is my second year teaching in Georgetown. |
| I have 15 years teaching experience with Harlingen C.I.S.D. (kindergarten, 1st grade,
3rd grade and 5th grade). I have 4 years experience with Austin I.S.D. (3rd
grade and 5th grade). |
| I also taught in a private school in Harlingen for six years. |

| Science: Your child will have science reading
homework weekly. |
| Think Math:
We will have math homework as needed. We we will be working on multiplication, equivalent
fractions, geometry, algebra, etc. It is very important that your child know
his/her math facts by memory. |
| Social Studies:
We are continuing with the immigration of Europeans to the New World. |
