- Books are labeled in our library to designate AR books with their reading
level and point value. AR notebooks with all current test book titles,
authors, book classification, language type, reading level and point value
are in the library for student/teacher/parent use. You may also access
the list of books with tests available on our Pickett website.
- Students may request books from the Georgetown Public Library collection
through Dell Pickett Elementary Library. Georgetown Public will
deliver books to our campus & pick them up to return to the
library. All Georgetown Public Library policies, rules, notices,
and renewals must be strictly followed to continue the service.

Texas Bluebonnet Award Nominees |
- The Texas
Bluebonnet Award (TBA) reading program was established in 1979 to
encourage Texas children to read more books, explore a variety of current
books, develop powers of discrimination, and identify their favorite
books.

Six
Flags Read to Succeed |
- Pickett students may participate in the
6 hour reading program during the
spring semester. Students may earn a free ticket to a Six Flags Amusement
park by reading a total of 6 hours while the program is in
progress.
