OVERALL PHILOSOPHY OF ELEMENTARY MUSIC EDUCATION

First and foremost, I want the kids to ENJOY coming to music!  If they don't enjoy it, the won't learn as well in the environment I want to create in my classroom - HANDS ON!!
I want the Music classroom to be an exciting safe place to explore new things.  I am Kodaly centered (a fancy name for the "do-re-mi" method basically) and love to see how the kids use cognitive thinking skills in a creative based environment.  I invite you to join us in Music anytime you want...
