Next AR test deadline: To Be Determined Reading Logs The students will be required to read for 20 minutes at home every night! They may read to themselves, a parent, a sibling, and someone can split the time with them and read to them! I will send home a reading log every Monday. Please be expecting it! It needs to come back to school daily to be checked. It is a grade and an easy one at that! If the student has read and had the log signed off on Monday-Friday, it is a 100! Basically, they earn 20 points a day for reading equaling 100 at the end of the week! Please do not sign their log if the reading has not been done! This practice will increase their reading fluency, which in turn will help with reading comprehension! I am not only using this as a tool in reading, but also to promote a sense of responsibility! Sample Reading Log- Can print from home if you lose yours!
