Accelerated Reader  

bulletBooks are labeled in our library to designate AR books with their reading level and point value.  AR notebooks with all current test book titles, authors, book classification, language type, reading level and point value are in the library for student/teacher/parent use.  You may also access the list of books with tests available on our Pickett website.
bulletStudents may request books from the Georgetown Public Library collection through Dell Pickett Elementary Library.  Georgetown Public will deliver books to our campus & pick them up to return to the library.   All Georgetown Public Library policies, rules, notices, and renewals must be strictly followed to continue the service.

Six Flags Theme Parks and Weekly Reader Offer
The 2005-2006 Read To Succeed® Program       

 Pickett students may participate in the 6 hour reading program during the spring semester.  Students may earn a free ticket to a Six Flags Amusement park by reading a total of 6 hours  while the program is in progress.
