Extracurricular Programs :: University Interscholastic League (UIL)
The
University Interscholastic League (UIL) was created by The University
of Texas at Austin to provide leadership and guidance to public
school debate and athletics teachers. The voluntary membership,
non-profit organization exists to provide educational extracurricular
academic, athletic, and music contests.
GISD students have the opportunity to participate in UIL competitions and contests held throughout the school year in a variety of curricular and extracurricular areas. GHS athletes also compete in UIL 5A athletics competitions.
