Federal Programs

Georgetown Independent School District participates in federally-funded programs designed to support Bilingual, English as a Second Language, and Migrant Education.

These programs provide support for students whose native language is not English, or who have limited English proficiency, or who face educational disruptions as a result of repeated moves.

The G.I.S.D. Parent involvement policy falls under the Federal Programs Department. You may review the Parent Involvement Policy in English or Spanish.

  • Title I, Part D, Subpart 2: Prevention & Intervention Programs for Children and Youth who are Neglected, Delinquent, or At-Risk

  • Title III, Part A: LEP and Immigrant Program
  • Title IV, Part A: Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities Program
  • State Compensatory Education Program
