Science Process Skills

Know the  following terms that may scientists use in the process of investigating a science topic

 

observing - using the five senses to record information

classifying- a way to identify similarities in objects and place them into groups

measuring- a way to determine how long, how wide, how heavy and how hot something is

inferring- when you interpret an observation or make a decision based on information you have

predicting- when you forecast what you think you should be able to observe in the future

communicating- a way to clearly express ideas, directions, and even  feelings so that others will understand (can be written or spoken)
