A Note From Marsha Winship
Since the structure of traditional schools does not meet the needs of all students, Georgetown Independent School District (GISD) provides an alternative high school. Richarte is GISD’s academic alternative school of choice. Many students prefer to learn and are more successful overall in a smaller educational environment.
Each student has an Individual Graduation Plan and sets goals to complete all coursework needed to meet the recommended graduation requirements as set by the state of Texas and this district.
Small-groups for instruction and individualized scheduling make it possible for students who may be behind in credits to “catch-up” and graduate within their 4 years.
The teachers and staff are exemplary professionals who also serve as advisors, coaches, and mentors. Our individual and collective goal is to create an atmosphere of excellence in which students can succeed both personally and academically.
