Richarte H. S. Application/Intake

You must be at least 16 years old to obtain an application and provide two forms of ID to verify GISD residency upon returning the completed application. Note:  Completion of Application Does Not Guarantee Enrollment

Application Deadlines:

       September 14, 2007                  October 2007 Enrollment

          November 15, 2007                   January 2008 Enrollment

          February 15, 2008                      March 2008 Enrollment

          May 1, 2008                                  August 2008 Enrollment

1. Upon returning the completed application, you will write a brief essay “Why you want to attend Richarte”.  Essays will be written at Richarte.

 2.  The principal will review your application and essay, and may contact appropriate school officials at Georgetown High School and/or previous school regarding your high school career.

 3.  If you meet the initial requirements for enrollment at RHS, the student will be contacted to schedule the first in a series of intake meetings.

·        Initial academic planning meeting with the principal.

·        Meeting with the counselor.

·        Meeting with the career & post-secondary teacher.

·        Final meeting with the principal and your parent(s)/guardian(s).

4.  Acceptance to Richarte is based on a student’s need, previous school attendance, ability to be academically successful in this learning environment, following through with all requirements in a timely manner, and attitude.

• It is important to be on time for each appointment and bring any required paperwork.  If you are late to your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
