Experience

Mr. Coburn is new to Georgetown ISD in 2009-2010 as Principal of Tippit Middle School. He comes to Georgetown from Killeen ISD, where he served as Principal of Palo Alto Middle School from 2007-2009. Mr. Coburn's twelve years in education began as a band director in the Houston and Austin areas. From 2002-2007, Mr. Coburn worked in the Houston area as an assistant principal at Dickinson High School. Mr. Coburn hopes his years of experience serving schools with a large number of at-risk students will help lead to success for each and every Tippit Middle School student.
Bio and Interests
Mr. Coburn, along with his wife Cayce and their two children, has lived in Georgetown since 2007. Mr. Coburn and his wife chose Georgetown because of the great schools, with Dean and Emerson Coburn both attending Village Elementary. Mr. Coburn enjoys traveling, sports, music, and spending time with his children.
