Skyward Family Access Parent Accounts & Logins

Login

The Skyward Family Access parent portal is NEW for the 2016-2017 school year.  Your username/login ID will be emailed to you at the start of the school year along with a password reset link that will allow you to reset your own password.  This is a new system, and the username and password you used last year for TEAMS Parent Self-Serve may not be the same.  

  • Where do I go to log in to Skyward Family Access?

    Please access Skyward Family Access at the following link:  http://www.georgetownisd.org/familyaccess

  • Is my username and password the same as last year?

    No. We are using a new system this year, and the usernames and passwords for our old system, TEAMS Parent-Self Serve, are not the same unless you are a GISD staff member.  Please read special instructions for GISD staff below.

  • What is my username/login ID?

    Your username will be assigned to you by the system automatically and provided to you in an email either at the start of the school year, or when you enroll a new student.  If you do not know your username, or if you did not receive an email with this information, click the Forgot Your Login/Password? link on the Skyward Family Access home page.  You will be asked to enter your email address and your username/login ID will be emailed to you, along with a link that will allow you to reset your password. 

  • What is my password?

    Your password will be assigned to you by the system automatically.   You will receive a password reset email at the start of the school year to reset it to something you can remember. If you did not receive an email with this information, click the Forgot Your Login/Password? link on the Skyward Family Access home page. .  You will be asked to enter your email address and your username/login ID will be emailed to you, along with a link that will allow you to reset your password.

  • If I am a GISD staff member AND a parent, can I use my GISD username and password to access my Family Access account?

    Yes, if your parent and your staff accounts are correctly linked together.  You can attempt to login to Family Access with yoru GISD username and password first.  If that does not work, you may have a separate Family Access login linked to a personal email account.  Use the Forgot Login ID/Password? link and enter your personal email address.  If you receive an emailed password reset link at your personal email address, you have two separate accounts.  You can submit a helpdesk request with your GISD username, the names of your GISD student children, and your home address to request that the two accounts be merged together.  In the mean time, continue to use your separate Family Access account as needed.  Remember to use the Family Access link, and NOT the regular Skyward link, to access Skyward Family Access.

  • How do I change my username or password once I am logged in?

    Once you have successfully logged in, you can update BOTH your default login ID/username and password.  We recommend making your email address your Login ID and setting your password to something you will remember.  To do so, click on the My Account link in the top right corner of the Family Access home page.

    On the My Account page, click either the Change Login or Change Password buttons, and you will be allowed to change your Login ID and/or your password to a selection of your choice.

  • What if I still can't log in?   

    Contact our helpdesk at parents@georgetownisd.org for assistance.  Your patience at the start of the school year is greatly appreciated, when we have a very high volume of parent helpdesk requests.
