New Principals Announced for Ford Elementary and Middle School #4
The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees named the new principal for Ford Elementary and the new principal for Middle School #4 at its regular meeting on Monday, May 16.
Jessica McMullen was named the new principal at Ford Elementary, taking over for Donna Wallace who has accepted a position in another district. McMullen is currently the principal at Schiff Elementary School in Fort Bend ISD, which has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students. She has served as an assistant principal, department chair and team leader, and has taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels.
McMullen earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University. In addition, she has participated in the Educational Entrepreneurship & Leadership Program at Rice University.
Lindsay Harris was named principal of the yet-to-be named Middle School #4. She has served as the principal at Jane Long Middle School for the past five years in Bryan ISD. Harris began her career as a Spanish teacher at Jane Long Middle School, and also served as Dean of Instruction there. She was awarded the 2010-11 and 2005-06 Bryan ISD Administrator of the Year award, and was also the recipient of the 2015 Raise Your Hand Texas Scholarship award.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Harris received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Education in Educational Administration. She also received a leadership certificate from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education in the Art of Leadership Institute program.
