02/21/2012 - Trustees Approve Elementary School Attendance Zones

Georgetown, Texas • February 21, 2012
The Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees approved new Elementary School Attendance Zones during tonight’s February 21st board meeting. The attendance zones and transition plan will be in effect beginning with the 2012-2013 school year. Administration regulations will allow currently enrolled elementary students impacted by boundary changes the option to "grandfather" or "stay put" at their current campus. Transportation will not be provided for students that grandfather to their current campus. As part of the transition plan, Frost Elementary will grow by one grade level beginning with the 2012-2013 year. In 2012-2013, Frost will house Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students. In 2013-2014, Frost will expand to include 4th Grade with 5th Grade being added in 2014-2015. In addition, 3rd and 4th Grade students currently enrolled at McCoy Elementary, will remain McCoy students next year. The attendance zones may be viewed and downloaded through the Georgetown ISD web site at
