Welcome to the Tippit Middle School Library!  Our growing collection currently includes 13,000+ titles, including educational videos and state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment.  The library also subscribes to 40 professional and special interest periodicals, including Kids Discover, National Geographic, Science Scope, Newsweek, Odyssey, Plays, and Texas Highways.

The Tippit Library also subscribes to the electronic resources of Digital Knowledge Central (DKC) through Region 20.  This includes Britannica Online; EBSCO, featuring full text journal and periodical articles; and Newsbank, which provides access to hundreds of newspapers, both national and worldwide.  In addition, Nettrekker d.i., a premium, educational search engine, is available as a recommended alternative to 'googling.'

Access to the collections of the GISD libraries and the Georgetown Public Library is also available to students and staff through interlibrary loan services. 

Suggestions are always welcome, whether book or program recommendations.  Volunteers are welcome, too!
