Please try to finish your homework at home and let Mrs. Adams check it or
help you with a difficult problem. If you wait to do your homework at
school, you might run out of time.
math facts
- There are many ways to practice math facts. Mrs. Adams will help
you learn how to help yourself learn all the math facts. There are light
rights, memory bank cards, and games for each kind of math fact. There's
even music to listen to that will help you learn your facts. Make some flash
cards to take home.
spelling -
A few minutes of practice every day will help you know all the words for
your test on Friday. Mrs. Adams can call the words out to you or you can
make flash cards, write them on the white board, or type them on the
computer. Mrs. Adams can help you with some ideas on what would work best
for you.
computers
- You can use the computers to do research or type reports.
make up
missed work - If you've been absent, you can get some help catching
up with your class.
take a
test - We will give you a quiet place to take a test. If it's not a
reading test, we can help you read the tough words. We can help you make
sure you understand the directions and have answered every problem.
try again
- Sometimes you need to correct an assignment or get another chance at
learning something. We can help you with this.
reading
- You can listen to books on tape. You can listen to
selections on tape and do a one-minute read to an adult to improve your
reading fluency.

Whenever you need help, come to The Learning Center and someone will be
there to help you. If we can't help you, we'll try to find someone who can.
