Education & Teaching Background

• Education:  I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in elementary education.
• I substitute taught for two years in Georgetown and was a teaching assistant for half a year before I became a fulltime classroom teacher.  I taught first grade in Georgetown for eight years and  2nd grade for five years.

About Myself

• My family moved to Georgetown in 1991.  I have two girls.  Sarah is a graduate of Georgetown High School and Staci is a 8th grader at Benold Middle School.  We have several pets, a bird named Peep, two hamsters, Andre the rabbit and two dogs, Pixie and Madison.  We love to travel.  Places we have visited in the past are Boston/Salem, the beach (Port Aransas), Ruidoso, New Mexico, the Smoky Mountains, Las Vegas, Nebraska, Illinois, Florida, St. Thomas and St. Martens, Belgium and day trips to Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.  (We were lucky enough to visit my brother while he was living in Belgium.)  This past summer we made a car trip to Canada (Northern Ontario) with stops in Nebraska and Minnesota.
