I am a second grade teacher at Annie Purl Elementary. My husband teaches at Southwestern University. I have two daughters with the oldest having graduated from Austin College. Nicole is the Strategy Manager for United Way International in Washington, D.C. Our youngest daughter, Lauren, graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts two years ago and moved to D.C. this summer where she has been accepted into the graduate program at George Washington University Elliott School of Public Policy. My two daughters are vastly different from each other and each has brought challenges and blessings. Parenting is difficult and the most important job we do. It is never over, either!
