   Hello! My name is Rida Ortego and I am a Kindergarten teacher at Village Elementary. This is my seventh year as an early childhood teacher in the Georgetown Independent School District, and my third year to teach at Village. 

   I am looking forward to this school year and in seeing your child grow and learn. It is a privilege to be a part in your child's educational foundation. This year I will teach your child many new skills, but most importantly, I hope to develop in him/her a love of learning that will last throughout his/her life. 


 Education & Teaching Background:

  • Certified Pre-K through 4th grade through Tarleton State University-Central Texas
  • Bilingual & ESL Certified
  • B.S. in Technology with a minor in Psychology 
  • 2 years experience as a Kindergarten teacher & 4 years as a Pre-K teacher
