Hello! My name is Shirley Camacho. I am the counselor at Cooper Elementary. I am so excited to be here for you and your scholar. I hope that you will feel free to call upon me if I can be a source of support, encouragement, a resource, or referral. I am here for YOU!
I relocated to Georgetown this year from Del Rio, Texas. I have been a guidance counselor for over 10 years. My background also includes special education teaching. My experiences have allowed me the opportunity to counsel both scholars and parents with academic and personal needs.
I want to be a source of support and resource for you, as well as our community. I plan to provide guidance counseling in the areas of Character Building. Following our mission of QC2R: Quality, Cooperation, Respect and Responsibility, I will be focusing on the six pillars of Character including Respect, Citizenship, Caring, Responsibility, Fairness, and Trustworthiness.
I am open to discuss issues or needs you feel are important to you and your child. I look forward to working with you and hope that you will find me a helpful resource.
