• My name is Kendra Brown and I am the Kindergarten-2nd grade Math & Reading Interventionist. Teaching and learning are my passion and I am ready to share my passion for learning with your students. This is my 11th year teaching  my 14th year in Georgetown ISD. Before becoming an Invterventionist, I taught First Grade for 2 years, I was a Special Education teacher for 5 years, and a Kindergarten teacher for 3 years. I have also worked as a Special Education paraprofessional.

    I moved to Georgetown, from the Houston area, with my family in 1998. I attended Village Elementary, Benold Middle School, and Georgetown High School. After graduating high school, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood through 6th grade. (just a fancy way of saying “teaching degree”) I hold additional certifications in English as a Second Language and Special Education.  After graduating from college, I moved back to Georgetown and married my high school sweetheart, Zach. We have a 5 year old son named Mason and have an infant son named Garrett. I also have a dashund mix named Roxy and a cat named Bug.  Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the gym, shopping, and spending time in/around the water.

    Scents- Beachy smells (Tiki Beach from Bath and Body Works) and Fall pumpkins/apples

    Fast Food- Chick-fil-a or Schlotzsky's
