• My name is Kendra Brown and I am so excited to be your child’s First Grade Teacher! Teaching and learning are my passion and I am ready to share my passion for learning with your students. This is my 10th year teaching, my 2nd year teaching First Grade, and my 13th year in Georgetown ISD. Before becoming a First Grade teacher, I was a Special Education teacher for 5 years, and a Kindergarten teacher for 3 years. I have also worked as a Special Education paraprofessional.

I moved to Georgetown, from the Houston area, with my family in 1998. I attended Village Elementary, Benold Middle School, and Georgetown High School. After graduating high school, I attended Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, Early Childhood through 6th grade. (just a fancy way of saying “teaching degree”) I hold additional certifications in English as a Second Language and Special Education.  After graduating from college, I moved back to Georgetown and married my high school sweetheart, Zach. We have a 4 year old son named Mason and are currently expecting our second son, whom we have named Garrett. I also have a dashund mix named Roxy and 3 cats named Stella, Piper, and Bug.   Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the gym, shopping, going to the lake, and fishing.
