Personalized Learning Pathway Classroom Information
· Welcome to Mrs. Coulson’s 6th grade classroom. This year I will begin my 26th year in education. I am married to Coach Coulson and we have four children and two grandchildren.
I will be teaching Personalized Learning Pathway. I will list lesson plans for each week and write a brief summary of the past week’s events.
· I also have a link to the REMIND feed, and a link of different photos taken during the school year. I would like to encourage you to stay connected by signing up for REMIND. This is a text message which you can receive via REMIND from me regarding upcoming tests and projects. Parents text @sc6plp to 810-10 to sign up for my PLP classroom informtion.
· What is PLP?
PLP is a required elective for all 6th grade students
It is designed to be a class that focuses on the development of the Learner Profile attributes.
These attributes were identified by GISD as the necessary skills for success that all students should have upon graduation.
· Grading policy: Three daily grades will be taken every three weeks. One test grade every three weeks which will consist of various projects, formatives and units tests.Rubrics will be used for projects.
· Thanks for your support. Looking forward to a great school year.
