    Howdy!

My name is Tamara (Tammy) Smith. I am excitedly entering my 34th year of teaching! I am the third generation teacher in my family. My daughter is the fourth as she has recently started teaching as well. I am married and have two amazing adult daughters. Animals are a passion of mine, so I have dogs at the house and class pets; guinea pigs, named Scar & Wilbur.

I have taught in California, Austin, TX, Georgetown, Carrollton-Farmers Branch and now I'm back in Georgetown! My passions are teaching, learning, and camping (not necessarily in that order!)

I am so excited to be a Carver Colt. Let's have an amazing year together! I am in room 249 (upstairs, 4th-grade wing).

  • I am teamed with Mrs. K. Olmstead. We have worked together for years and we are a great team! I teach language arts and social studies to your child regardless of who their homeroom teacher is. If you have any questions that relate to those subjects, please send me an email!

If your child is in my homeroom, their math and science teacher will be Mrs. Olmstead.
