My name is Jodi Conrad and I am Ford's literacy and math intervention teacher at Ford Elementary! I work with small groups of K-5 grade students to build their literacy and math knowledge. This is my 33rd year of teaching. I have taught first and second grades, Reading Recovery, and this will be my 11th year as an intervention teacher at Ford. I have worked at Ford since the school opened in August 2003! I LOVE working with children and have a passion for teaching that began as a child! Being a Literacy/Math Intervention teacher allows me to work with many children at different grade levels—supporting their needs in both reading and math. I work closely with the classroom teachers to ensure that I am working on skills your child needs specific help with, along with reinforcing the skills that are happening in the classroom.
My husband Bob and I live in Georgetown. Mr. Conrad is an AP World History/AP European History teacher at Round Rock High School. We have two grown sons. Our oldest son, Matt, graduated from Texas State and works at a financial institution in Austin. Our youngest son, Sam, is a Plfugerville firefighter/EMT and is currently in paramedic school. We also have three cats-Cami, Pixie, and Posie. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working in the yard, exercising, and READING!
