2018 State Accountability

  • The new Texas Accountability A-F letter grades are just one measure of how a school is performing. The letter grades are based largely on performance on state standardized tests and graduation rates. The ratings examine student achievement, student progress, efforts to close the achievement gap, and postsecondary readiness. The Texas standardized test used to measure student achievement and progress is called STAAR (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness).

A video available in ENGLISH and SPANISH provides a quick overview of the system.

Even though our district and schools received a rating, the following aspects should be reviewed for a comprehensive view to ensure that our students are receiving the best educational experience available.

    • Safe and inclusive school environment
    • Engaging learning in the classroom
    • Supportive and empowered leaders and teachers
    • Equitable opportunities for all students for success  Equitable opportunities for all students for success after high school
    • Active involvement and dedication of parents and community

We appreciate your continued support and partnership as we strive to be home of the most inspired students, served by the most empowered leaders.
