About Mr. Abe

Hi, I'm Russ Abe and I teach English III and IV at Local High School. I have been teaching at LHS since 2014. Prior to teaching at LHS, I taught at Far Away High School in my home town of Pedagogy, Maryland for 2 years.

I graduated from the University of Maryland in 2012 with a degree in English Literature. I met my wife Rene at UM and we were married in 2013. We moved to Texas in 2014 and really enjoy living in Georgetown. We welcomed our first child in November 2019 and our second child in June 2022.

When I'm not teaching, thinking about teaching, or reading my favorite genres historical and science fiction, I enjoy playing basketball on a recreational team and volunteering with the youth group at my church.
