When can students visit the library to check out books? The WMS library is open daily from 8:15am-4:15pm. Students are welcome to visit the library before school, at lunch, after school, or during class with a pass.
Where do students return books? Students are welcome to come by the library any time during the day to drop off books. They can put them in the library dropbox located next to the circulation desk.
How many books can students check out at once? Normally, students may check out up to 2 library books at once. However, if a student needs an additional book for a class assignment, they may check out a third one.
How long can a student have a book? The checkout period is set for two weeks.
What if a student wants a book longer than 2 weeks? Students are welcome to stop by the library to renew their materials for an additional 2 week period.
Are there daily fines for late materials? No. The library does not set late fines for overdue materials. As long as the materials are returned undamaged, no late fines will be assessed.
What happens if a student loses or damages a book? A replacement fee will be assessed. The student can visit Mrs. Heil in the library about their specific case and get an amount due.
How does a student know if their books are late? An automatic email is generated each Monday morning for overdue materials. An email is sent to the student and the parent/guardian. The email includes information about what materials are checked out, when they are due, and the cost to replace the items if lost.
Help! I forgot when my book was due. How can I find out? You have a couple of options. First, you can always stop by the library and have Mrs. Heil or a library volunteer look up your account. Another option is for the student to login to their "ClassLink" account. From there, they can click on "Follett Destiny". This will allow them to look up their account and see what books they have checked out.
