     A local scholarship is a scholarship made available from local organizations seeking GISD applicants. Each scholarship requires submission of a unique application directly to the donor by their deadlines.

     Local scholarships, along with information about their deadlines and requirements, can be found on the table below. You can also visit with your campus CCMR Specialist for more information.

-Must be in the top 25% of their graduating class
-Must show documented financial need through a FAFSA student aid report

05/01/20 Madelyn Grace Shoales Memorial Scholarship GHS -Senior at GHS
-Must be a lettered student athletic trainer at GHS
-Must demonstrate financial need
-Must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited college or university
-Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Submit two letters of recommendation
-Write a 500

05/01/20 Milton Denham Scholarship GHS, EVHS -Must be a GHS or EVHS student
-Must demonstrate academic achievement
-Must show financial need
-Must have recognized contribution to the Georgetown Community
-Application must include teacher letter of recommendation, community member letter of recommendation, transcript, and essay
$1,000 / student
05/01/20 Zoot Pets Hospital Scholarship for Business - Sally & Jim Root Sr. ALL - Student must be accepted and enrolled in a four year accredited college or university for the forthcoming fall semester.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in high school.
- 400-600 word essay explaining why you plan to study business and why you are deserving of a Zoot scholarship.
- Attach official school transcript with application.
- Attend in-person interview (finalists only)
06/30/20 Ned Snead Memorial Scholarship Fund for Innovation and Engineering ALL -Female high school senior planning to study engineering
-Has completed the STEM, mathematics or science track at a GISD high school
-Has been accepted and enrolled at an accredited college or university
-Must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA in high school
Up to (2)-$2,500
08/13/20 National Association of Women in Construction Austin Chapter Trades Scholarship ALL -Must be currently indentured or enrolled in a US Department of Labor Apprenticeship program or technical school in a construction trade. $1000.00
