Biography: Originally from Argentina, Ms. Townsend attended Buenos Aires University to study Geography for two years before transferring to New Mexico State University afterward where she graduated with a Bachelors in Science (City Planning). She then pursued a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology in Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Teaching has been Ms. Townsend’s calling for the last 20 years, first teaching psychology courses at three different universities in Michigan before moving to China for two years where she explored the culture and tried to learn Mandarin. After returning from China, Ms. Townsend moved to Florida, where she worked at Grandview Preparatory School teaching Social Sciences courses. Ms. Townsend has four children, the two oldest daughters both currently attending Texas A&M University (one in College Station, one in Corpus Christi) on tennis scholarships. A 17 year old son, who just graduated High School and runs track and cross-country, and also a daughter who is a Sophomore in Georgetown High School. Ms. Townsend has traveled to over 15 countries worldwide and very much enjoys sports, good literature and yoga
