Amy Heil

  • Amy Heil I am excited to be a part of the district Digital Learning team! Currently, I serve both Tippit and Wagner Middle Schools. One of my favorite things about my job is having the opportunity to collaborate with the teachers at these campuses and across the district.

I joined Georgetown ISD as an educator in 2002 and have had the opportunity to serve in many capacities, both at the campus and district level. I started at Cooper Elementary where I taught 3rd grade. In 2008, I helped open Mitchell Elementary as the campus librarian. In 2017, I had the opportunity to join Wagner Middle School as the librarian and assisted in opening the campus that year. I moved into my role as a Digital Learning Coach in 2020 where I have the opportunity to work with teachers to design engaging work for students. I love fostering critical thinking and creativity in both teachers and students.

On a personal note, I live in Georgetown with my husband, two daughters, and 4 dogs. My oldest daughter was a 2019 GISD graduate and is currently studying Animal Science at Texas A&M University. My youngest daughter is a student at East View High School. A few of my favorite things are shopping and traveling. In my free time, you can always find me curled up with a good book!
