Charlotte Larson

  • I am so thankful to be a part of Georgetown ISD! I serve alongside Carver, Mitchell, and Williams Elementary staff to design innovative and engaging work through purposeful technology integration. I strive to empower and inspire those I work with to achieve their personalized technology integration goals through coaching, collaboration, and designing and delivering professional learning. My work also involves partnering with other departments and my Digital Learning teammates to support district initiatives. One of my favorite things about this job is being able to meet and collaborate with different people across the district.

I just wrapped up my 23rd year as an educator!! I graduated with honors from Mount Saint Clare College in Clinton, IA with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in 1998 as a 2nd grade teacher for 4 years and was a 3rd grade teacher for the next 5 years. I joined the Digital Learning world in 2007 after falling in love with technology integration as a classroom teacher, and I have been in this field for the last 14 years. I joined Georgetown ISD in 2017 and this is my 5th year with the district.

I am passionate about technology integration and I enjoy opportunities to share my love of technology with both teachers and students. I am looking forward to witnessing the greatness that will ensue now that we are a 1:1 district! I have many years of expertise in technology integration using Google and Microsoft products, Chromebooks, Macboooks, and iPads. Flipgrid, Screencastify, and Jamboard are the EdTech apps I currently am most knowledgeable in, and they are my favorite apps to teach to others. I follow Matt Miller, Eric Curts, and Kasey Bell and consider them some of the top EdTech gurus because they create and share super practical ideas for digital learning implementation.

I live in Georgetown with my husband, two daughters, and our kitten. I also have a son who is grown and out adulting on his own as a Correctional Officer in Gatesville. My oldest daughter is a SENIOR at East View and my youngest is a 4th grader at Mitchell.  A few of my favorite things are spending time with family & friends and traveling. In the rare moments I have free time to myself, I enjoy resting on the couch while catching up on some of my favorite TV shows.
