For the past ten years, I have been working in various roles within education to draw students into their learning. I spent four years teaching English Language Arts in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Brighton, Colorado; three years teaching high school in Temple, Texas; two years as an Instructional Coach for secondary teachers in Temple, Texas. I joined Georgetown ISD as a Digital Learning Coach in 2020 and I am fortunate enough to work with an amazing group of teachers at Georgetown High School.
One of my passions is teaching students to make connections between their learning and their personal interests, all while incorporating technology. I approached my own teaching with this in mind, and as I work with teachers I like to encourage that same approach.
On a personal note, I have lived in Georgetown for the past six years with my wife Julianna, twin boys Oliver and Owen, and our amazing golden retriever named Molly. We love hiking, biking, and camping any chance we get. I am an avid reader and have recently found myself really getting into non-fiction books about the early 1900s.
