Hi, my name is Mary Beth Solis and this is my first year at Carver Elementary. I previously taught special education for two years in Round Rock, and prior to that I taught special education for five years in Columbia, Missouri and taught and worked as a paraprofessional for six years in Waynesville, Missouri.
My husband and I met through our families in Georgetown, where we grew up and attended school, and we both graduated from GHS. We had two children, Cia and William, before Joe joined the U.S. Army, which took us all over the United States and him all over the world for his military career, prior to his army retirement in 2019. We were stationed in New York, Hawaii, Texas, Hawaii for a second time and finally, Missouri, where both of our children attended and graduated from Waynesville High School.
I love that I can teach in the district I attended as a student. Watching students and contributing to student growth over a school year is one of the most exciting and fulfilling experiences and I love that I can share that with your family and your child in second grade!
