ACC Course Selection
In GISD, students can earn high school and college credit through dual credit courses. Students may enroll in dual credit courses offered through GISD during the school day/year. Alternatively, students may take college courses outside of the GISD school day and request that these courses be recorded on the high school transcript if a GISD equivalent exists for the course. For more information, see the GISD Dual Credit Guide link.
-
Advanced Placement
Pre-AP and AP courses are designed to challenge motivated students and prepare them for success in college-level course work in high school and beyond. These courses move at a faster pace, are more academically challenging, require additional outside reading, including summer reading, and require more independent learning than on-level courses.

On Ramps Course Selection
Georgetown ISD offers students the opportunity to take dual enrollment courses. Students who take these courses have the opportunity to earn both college and high school credits. The dual enrollment opportunity is provided to GISD students through The University of Texas at Austin.
