Hello Tippit Titans!

My name is Nikki Smurthwaite and this is my first year teaching Behavior Communication Support at Tippit. I was previously at Carver Elementary and before that, I was an In-Home Child and Family Counselor. I am excited to be part of the team and this year we will be working hard on Social Skills and what it means to be a positive role model. I hope to bring some of my knowledge and experience to the Titan Family.

I graduated from Upper Iowa University with a double major in Psychology and Human Services and went on to obtain my Masters in Public Administration with an emphasis on Human Services.

I am originally from Iowa, but have called Texas my home for almost 10 years now. I have 3 wonderful kids; Taylor, Zoe, and Ripon. In my spare time I enjoy sitting on my porch with friends, reading, and traveling with my family.
