The Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center is a Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) subject to the approval of the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission in conjunction with the Williamson County Juvenile Board. The center is for students who have engaged in delinquent conduct on school grounds or during school events or who have been court ordered to attend the JJAEP. We serve students from ages 10-17 (grades 4-12), but we may also have some students who are 18 or older if they were expelled by their school district to the J.J.A.E.P.
The programs within the facility are:
Williamson County C.O.R.E. Residential Treatment Program (post-adjudicated)
Williamson County J.J.A.E.P. (non-residential program)
Williamson County Juvenile Detention (residential, pre-adjudicated)
The Williamson County Juvenile Detention Center is a detention center subject to the approval of the Texas Juvenile Detention Association and the Williamson County Juvenile Board. The Juvenile Center is for students who have engaged in conduct suspected to be delinquent according to the law. The students are incarcerated until the court makes a determination. Both facilities are located in the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center. All 12 school districts in Williamson County participate in the school.
