Mr. Wes Vanicek - Principal

Prior to entering administration, Mr. Vanicek taught Pre-AP Biology and Leadership at New Tech High @ Coppell in Coppell ISD.  He served as Assistant Director at New Tech High @ Coppell, as well as Assistant Principal of Coppell High School before joining Georgetown ISD. Mr. Vanicek loves to spend time with his daughters, Katie and Emily, whether it be hunting, fishing, being outdoors, or tea parties and princesses.

Mr. Davin Vogler- Associate Principal

Mr. Vogler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and his Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Prior to entering administration, Mr. Vogler taught at Manor Middle School in Manor ISD, served as an assistant principal for Manor High School, as principal for Manor Manor Middle School, and most recently as principal for Lago Vista Middle School. Mr. Vogler is married to Carrie (also an educator in GISD), and has three children, Micah, Cammie, and Jarrett. He loves hanging out with family and friends (preferably on the lake), serving in his church, and is beyond excited to be an EAGLE!

Mr. Bretton Schulz- Assistant Principal A-E

Mr. Schulz is beginning his 9th year as an educator, and his 5th as an administrator. He has served as an Assistant Principal at Bryan High School and Benold Middle School. He is a loyal Red Raider, completing his undergraduate and graduate degree programs at Texas Tech University.  Prior to becoming an administrator, he was a CTE teacher and coach. Mr. Schulz lives in Georgetown with his wife, Haley, and two children, Samson (4) and Scout (2). When he is not at work, Mr. Schulz enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

Mrs. Candice Michalek-Assistant Principal F-LL

Mrs. Michalek earned her Bachelor of Arts in English at The University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Tyler.  This is her eighth year at Georgetown High School, as well as her 22nd year in Education.  She has served as a Special Education and English teacher in Pflugerville ISD, Round Rock ISD, and Georgetown ISD. Mrs. Michalek is married with a blended family of four children.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, gardening, and travelling.

Mr. Ricardo Romero - Assistant Principal LO-RO

Mr. Romero earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice, as well as a Master of Criminal Justice from Tarleton State University. Before administration, Mr. Romero served in the United States Armed Forces for over 23 years as a U.S. Federal Agent before enjoying teaching Criminal Justice classes with the GHS Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program. Mr. Romero has worked with Killeen ISD and now Georgetown ISD. Mr. Romero is married to his wife, Lupita, of 31 years and has three grown children as well as four grandchildren. His favorite activities include church functions, playing sports, fishing, and boating.

Ms. Lindsay Cooper - Assistant Principal RU-Z

Ms. Cooper is starting her fourth year at GHS and her ninth year in public education. She earned her Bachelor's of Arts in History from Gonzaga University and her Master's of Education in History from Texas State University. She and her husband Jimmy Joe love living in Georgetown with their two dogs. Ms. Cooper is an avid equestrian with two off track Thoroughbreds she competes on the local hunter/jumper circuit. She is a passionate educator and life long learner.

Ms. Laurie McIntyre - Testing & 504 Coordinator

Ms. McIntyre earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education and her Master's degree in Educational Administration proudly from The University of Texas at Austin. In her 20+ years as an educator, she has taught Elementary Special Education and 3rd/4th grades in Austin ISD and Pflugerville ISD. Her administrative years have included serving as Elementary and Middle School Assistant Principal and Principal in GISD. Her hobbies include writing, nature photography and her dogs.
