Principal Profile: Nancy Bottlinger

    Nancy Bottlinger is the principal at Carver Elementary. Mrs. Bottlinger holds a B.S. in Elementary Education, Spanish, & Bilingual Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master's in Education Administration from Texas State University.
    Mrs. Bottlinger was a classroom teacher for 21 years, an assistant principal for 5 years, and is currently the principal of Carver Elementary. Nancy has been in education for 36 years. She has taught in Georgetown, McKinney, Frisco, and Los Angeles, California.  She has been an educator in GISD for the past 24 years.  
    Mrs. Bottlinger loves Georgetown. Her family moved here when she was in the seventh grade. She has three children. Her daughter, Kimberly and husband, Jakris, work on visual effects in movies.  They live in Los Angeles, California.  Her son, Kyle, lives in Cedar Park and owns C & A Lanscape and Fence. Her other son, Garrett, works in Los Angeles for Sony. She and her husband, Clark, enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing with their dogs, Riley, Bella, and Max.

Assistant Principal Profile: Dr. Emily Fraser

    Emily Fraser is one of the two Assistant Pricipals here at Carver. Dr. Fraser received her B.A. in General studies with a specialization in Early Childhood and Reading Instruction as well as her Masters in Education from Schreiner University. She was awarded her Doctorate Degree in P-12 Educational Leadership from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. 

    Emily has been in education for 13+ years. She has been a kindergarten and 2nd grade classroom teacher, as well as a special education teacher focusing on social skills. Before becoming an administrator, she served as an ARD facilitator for 2 years. All of her educational experience is from Georgetown, with the exception of her first year teaching. 

    Growing up in Georgetown, Dr. Fraser feels blessed to give back to the school district that made her the person she is today. Emily attended Carver herself when she was in 2nd and 3rd grade! She is married to her high school sweetheart, Travis Fraser (who also attended Georgetown schools). They have two boys, Johnny and Jaxon, as well as two bulldogs. As a family, they enjoy taking day trips to parks around Central Texas and are highly involved in several of their Church's ministries. Emily's happy place is Disney Land where she is able to sit on Main Street with a Dole Whip and people watch.

Assistant Principal Profile: Desiree Jez

    Carver Elementary Assistant Principal

    Desiree Jez was born and raised in South Texas. Her teaching career began in 2006 in Premont, Texas where she taught 4th grade. She then moved to the Killeen area and taught for six years in grades 2nd and 3rd. After that, she taught 3rd grade at Cooper Elementary in Georgetown for four years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University-Kingsville and a Master's degree in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Prior to teaching, Mrs. Jez worked with auditing and accounting for local government.

    Mrs. Jez is married to her college sweetheart Travis and they have a beautiful daughter named Hadley as well as a loveable basset hound named Max.

    Mrs. Jez is honored and proud to be working here at George Washington Carver Elementary.
