Hello and welcome! To introduce myself, I have been married for 32 years and Rick and I have two boys, Matthew who is 29 and Aaron who is 27. I graduated from La Verne University in Southern California in 1987 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. After working a few years in the business world, I quickly realized it was not my calling in life and returned to school in 1991 to complete my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. After teaching pre-school for six years, I again returned to school in 1998 to finish my teaching credential. I began teaching Kindergarten in a small district in Southern California in 2000. Since then, I remained with the district, teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade over the next 12 years. Once we made the decision to move to Texas, we worked toward that goal and in August of 2012, I was hired to teach 2nd grade at Mitchell Elementary. After that, I joined the 4th grade team for two years teaching Math and Science. In 2015, I was selected to make the move here to Carver as part of their new 4th grade team. We love living in Texas and I look forward to another exciting year working with a great team at a great school!
