I was born and raised in North East Arkansas. I have three older brothers, who now live all over. My parents still live in North East   Arkansas, and that’s normally where you can find me on breaks from school. I graduated college with a Bachelors of Science in   Psychology and a minor in Mathematics. While I didn’t know then that I would become a teacher, I did know that I loved Math and   wanted others to see the beauty in it.

You may be wondering how I ended up here, in Texas. Well, shortly after graduation, I met a Texan named Craig. We were married, and he was offered a new job in Texas. We relocated to Austin for several years, then moved here, in Georgetown. We have two sons, Parker and Spencer who attend Village Elementary in the Dual Language program. They keep me busy with Jiu Jitsu, Piano, and Soccer.

Earlier I mentioned I didn’t know that I would become a teacher, but it became clearer that it was what I wanted to do. I am certified in Mathematics and taught Algebra and Geometry at the High School level. I then learned I wanted to support other teachers, so I became an Instructional Coach for all contents in grades 6-8. To continue that journey and return to serving students, I became an administrator. I was an Associate Principal for a middle school campus prior to joining the Forbes administrative team as an Assistant Principal. I feel lucky to learn from and serve such a diverse and inclusive community.
