About Georgetown Alternative Program

  • The Georgetown Alternative Program (GAP) is the Discipline Alternative Education Program (DAEP) for GISD students in grades 6-12. Students are placed in the GAP for violating the Student Code of Conduct. The GAP seeks to provide these students with an environment that promotes positive decision-making, self-discipline, positive social skills, character education, and improved academic performance. The GAP began in 1996.
