Meet your School Resource Officers
Georgetown ISD partners with Georgetown Police Department to employ peace officers to serve on our campuses.
Officer Ellis received a full scholarship to play Division I soccer for the University of North Texas, where she graduated with a major in kinesiology and a minor in special education. She is a 10-year veteran of law enforcement and began her career with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in 2010 as a corrections officer. While employed with Williamson County, Officer Ellis was selected to attend the Peace Officer Academy, where she obtained her peace officer license.
In 2014, Officer Ellis joined the Georgetown Police Department and is currently assigned to the School Resource Officer division. She serves Benold Middle School, Frost Elementary School and Ford Elementary.
Officer Shannon Hall is the School Resource Officer for Forbes Middle School, Cooper Elementary and Village Elementary. She has been with the Georgetown Police Department since June 2013 as a patrol officer. Officer Hall has been the FMS SRO since 2017. She graduated from Southwest Texas State (the former name of Texas State University) with a major in family and consumer sciences – family and child development. Before she became a police officer, she spent almost 12 years with the YMCA in Round Rock where she held a variety of positions while serving the community. Hall also attended the basic and advanced school resource officer training and is a certified personal trainer for the police department.
She looks forward to a great school year working with students, teachers, parents and administration!
Officer Jones is an 18-year veteran of law enforcement and began his career with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office serving in the corrections division in 2004. While employed at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Officer Jones went to the BPOC Academy and obtained his peace officer license.
In July of 2013 Officer Jones joined the Georgetown Police Department and is currently assigned to the School Resource Officer Division. He serves Wagner Middle School, Mitchell Elementary, and Williams Elementary.
Officer Rishiram “Richie” Ramjit Jr. is a 12-year veteran of law enforcement and began his career with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in March 2009, serving as a corrections officer.
He has been with The Georgetown Police Department since January 2011. Officer Ramjit holds advanced peace officer and instructor certifications and was awarded the Georgetown Police Department’s Employee of the Year Award in 2014. He is currently assigned to East View High School, the Georgetown Alternative Program (GAP) and Annie Purl Elementary as School Resource Officer and has been an SRO for the past six years. Additionally, Officer Ramjit has served as a patrol officer, a GPD gang liaison, 10-81 operator, GPD explorer advisor and a member of the GPD bicycle unit.
Officer Ramjit teaches and trains in numerous schools:

- Standard Response Protocol (SRP)
- GISD’s School Crossing Guards
Officer Rey Rodríguez has been a police officer for 27 years. He has an associate‘s degree in criminal investigations and bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
He believes in community policing and enjoys working as a School Resource Officer at Tippit Middle School, Carver Elementary and Wolf Ranch Elementary.
Officer Chris Saenz is a 13 year veteran of law enforcement and began his career at a Military Police Officer at Fort Hood Texas in 2008 assigned to the First Cavalry Division. Officer Saenz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee. Officer Saenz is a Combat Veteran who deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. Officer Saenz holds a Master Peace Officer License and the Advanced School Resource Officer Certification. Officer Saenz was awarded Police Officer of the Year in 2017 and operates the Georgetown Police Department’s Tactical Rescue Vehicle. Officer Saenz is a background investigator with extensive knowledge of Criminal Street Gangs. Officer Saenz serves Georgetown High School, Richarte High School and McCoy Elementary.
Sergeant Sanford is the supervisor of the Georgetown Police Department's School Resource Officer Unit. Sgt. Sanford has been a police officer for 15 years and an SRO for the past four years with GISD. He holds a Master Peace Officer License and an Advance SRO Certification. Sgt. Sanford received a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Sul Ross State University while playing both football and baseball. He is married with three children.
