GISD Learner Profile

The development of the GISD Learner Profile began in 2015 with four community-wide education summits where the district held facilitated discussions about the future of education and recorded the feedback and input provided by the participants. The summits were followed by an online survey that was available from February 23-March 2 where we asked the community to prioritize the responses we received from our summits. The district then hosted approximately 15 focus groups representing parents, students, teachers, principals, district staff, community leaders, and business members to gather additional input.

In the final phase of this process, a design team made up of 45 internal and external stakeholders reviewed the data collected from the summits, forums, and online survey to develop our Georgetown ISD Learner Profile. As a result of this process, the district will develop specific actions and measurable goals to develop a custom design for instruction.
