What is the TSIA2?
The Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2) is a state-mandated series of tests used to determine if students are ready for college-level coursework in English Language Arts (ELAR) and Mathematics.
Unlike the SAT or ACT, the TSIA2 is a placement exam. It tells colleges whether you can start degree-credit classes immediately or if you need extra preparatory support first.
Why it Matters:
- ✔ Dual Credit: Required to enroll in college classes during high school.
- ✔ Save Money: Avoid paying for non-credit remedial courses in college.
- ✔ Graduation: Helps fulfill state CCMR requirements for your diploma.
